About

I am a licensed educator in Computer Science, Life Science, and Mathematics, and I hold a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Biology Education. I am also an experienced programmer. I enjoy building connections between curricula and creating dynamic lessons.

I am currently teach Coding and Intro Computer Science at Highland Middle School in Highland, Indiana. My eight years of teaching experience include teaching Biology, Integrated Chemistry and Physics, Coding, Intro to Computer Science, and Math Lab. I also run a science club and a LEGO Robotics Club. I was the first to teach programming at my middle/high school, and I helped lobby for and create the Computer Science Pathway.

Raised in Lansing, Illinois, I earned my bachelor’s degree from Purdue University. I am married to my lovely wife, Emily, and I have two wonderful children. My hobbies include native gardening, visiting museums, musical instruments, and reading.
